Stella Vine

Stella Vine

I looked at Stella Vine's work because she paints the make-up on the faces in a bold way wich I like. Her paintings look childlike wich suggests an innocence to them.
Kate Moss

On this painting she applied the paint thickly. This remindes me of the way that Bobbie Brown uses make-up because she describes her method as 'paintily'
Amy Winehouse

Stella's art work, based on her own life and the world around, is childlike, raw and colourful.

The paintings and other works vary in size from 12cm to 14ft, and are made of oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pencil, felt-pen, ink, natural elements such as twigs, ribbon, glitter, found objects or collage, on paper, cardboard, wood, board, metal, glass, fabric or canvas.

She sold her first paintings, of Princess Diana and Rachel Whitear to Charles Saatchi in 2004.
